About
Townsquare
A public square organised around issues, not personalities.
Why it exists
Real-world disagreements rarely end when the news cycle moves on. Townsquare gives those issues a place to stay: somewhere to read the strongest cases, bring a source, and reconsider a position without turning discussion into a popularity contest.
The aim is not to manufacture agreement. It is to make disagreement clearer, fairer, and useful enough to return to.

Tom operates Townsquare from the United States. Room stewards keep briefings in order and enforce the community rules. Members bring the questions, lived experience, and sources that make a room worth reading.
Stewardship is about process, not an official verdict on anyone’s politics. A briefing should make the case for action, the case for caution, and the local circumstances visible.
Read the five community rulesWhy these ten rooms
The starting topics are enduring public issues: cost of living; housing and zoning; healthcare; education and skills; energy and climate; immigration and integration; crime and justice; AI and work; local governance; and free speech and harm.
They provide a stable starting set rather than a list driven by what gets the most attention today. Each can be considered at city, national, and global scope, because the same question can have different answers in different places.
Rooms persist around those issues. Posts remain chronological; popularity does not decide which claims are seen first.
